EDGE Portfolio 

For my Edge Project, I put on an open horse show. I wanted it to be a fun and affordable  show for people of all skill levels to come compete at. I drew in many participants from all over Southern Utah by offering a variety of classes, and advertising all over Utah and Nevada. Many of the classes I held included Halter, Showmanship, Western and English rail and pattern classes, Hunter Hack, Ranch Riding, and Trail. My judge Denise Wilstead was in charge of determining the winners and placings for each class, and ribbons were awarded for first through fifth place winners. I did end up needing quite a few volunteers the day of the show to help me with handing out ribbons, checking people in, running the back gate, and announcing. I think it was a low stress environment where people came and had a good time with their horses and their friends while getting some good practice time.
